Betty Mae (Bush) LaCroix age 92, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2019 at the Immanuel Lutheran home in Kalispell with her family by her side.
Born in Overly, North Dakota to Victor and Alice (Ricketts) Bush, Betty was the second of seven children and a bit of a tomboy. In her youth she loved riding the family horses Topsy and Queenie and always preferred milking the cows and shucking wheat instead of sewing. She had many talents, among them being a gifted portrait artist and poet. She was an avid reader and a wonderful cook and baker. She was also a devoted wife and a loving mother to seven children as well as a foster mom to children needing a loving home.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy Langenfeld and Evelyn Timmerman and brother Lloyd Bush, husband Oscar LaCroix, second husband Alfred LaCroix, and sons Daniel LaCroix and Michael LaCroix.
She is survived by her children Rick (Kathy) LaCroix of Overland Park KS, Ted (Wanda) LaCroix of Grecia, Costa Rica, Anne LaCroix of Missoula MT, Laurie LaCroix of Kalispell MT, and Robin (Carolyn) LaCroix of Kalispell MT as well as 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Helen (Buck) Ruppelius of Saint John ND, Lois Green of Yakima WA, and Donnie (Joni) Bush of Langdon ND.
A memorial mass will be held at 3 pm on Thursday June 13, 2019 at Risen Christ Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held in North Dakota at a later date.
