Linda Florence ( Hooper ) Power passed away on January 18th, 2023 in Kalispell, Montana at Logan Health Medical Center.
Linda was born to Herman and Waneta Hooper on June 21st 1945. She grew up in a two room house in Admire, Kansas with her siblings. After graduating high school in 1963, Linda moved to Topeka, Kansas to continue her schooling. On February 12th, 1966 she married Robert Power. Linda and Robert enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
Soon, after her marriage they moved to Tacoma, Washington. In 1968 and 1970 she gave birth to her two sons. She spent the next 18 years moving around the country as she raised her family. Through those years she volunteered as a school nurse, a room mother, a den leader, a member of the PTA. She did books for her son's baseball and bowling teams.
Linda suffered a stroke in 1988 that left her partially disabled but she never let that slow her down. She had five grandchildren and always enjoyed their visits.
Linda was an avid reader her entire life. She always had a cup of coffee and a book by her side. She enjoyed watching college basketball and always rooted for the Kansas Jayhawks.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, siblings Joe, Jim, Vera, Mike, Raymond and Dave.
Linda is survived by her sons Bob and Joe, and his wife Carrie, stepson John, and his wife Marta, stepdaughters Debbie and Dianna, grandchildren John, Jacob, Kassandra, Nathaniel, Danny and four great grandchildren, and her siblings, Clara and Bill.
Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, January 27th, 2023 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow service at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
Throughout Linda's life she always opened her home to others, because of this donations to the Flathead Youth Home would do her honor. at 825 E. Oregon Street Kalispell, MT 59901
