Anna Mae Bowles, 90, of Kalispell, Montana, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2026, of congestive heart failure surrounded by her family.

Anna was born on May 21, 1935, in Eureka, California, where she was also raised. She graduated from Eureka High School and in 1957 married the love of her life, Amasa Morse Bowles II, in Eureka. They shared 49 years of marriage until his passing.

Throughout her life, Anna was known for her strong work ethic and warm heart. She taught people how to use telephones in her early years and later worked as a medical assistant in a doctor’s office. She dedicated over 20 years of service to Walmart Pharmacy, where she built lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.

Anna found great joy in gardening, cooking, and canning. She loved hosting gatherings, especially family get-togethers and celebrations. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother and nurturing her family. She cherished her many special friends, who she considered part of her extended family.

She is survived by her daughter, Julianna Crow (Daryl); her grandchildren, Tasha Prevette (Betsy), Kristina Franklin, Michael Bowles ( Megan) ,Kevin Christmas, Jennifer Crow, Tanner Crow (Claire), Deanna Crow, Cassie Crow, Jason Crow, Cody Crow, and Samantha Crow; her great-grandchildren, J.T. Olson (Rebekkah), Logan Olson (Bekah), Mason Olson (Zayley), Caleb Amundson, Ethan Amundson, Lily Franklin, and her bonus grandkids Jenna and Ben; her great-great-grandchild, Blakely; as well as numerous nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amasa Morse Bowles II; her son, Michael Bowles; her parents, her sister, four brothers; and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Anna will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread in Eureka, California, a place that always remained close to her heart.

Anna will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, strength, and devotion to her family.
