Anne P. Oertel, 96, passed away April 18, 2014, in Kalispell.
Anne was born July 11, 1917, in West Paterson, N.J. She grew up in Westfield, N.J.
Anne became a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, School of Nursing in Elizabeth, N.J. She married Howard F. Oertel in Elizabeth in 1947, then worked at Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J.
In 2009, she moved from Rock Hill, S.C., to Kalispell to live with her daughter.
Anne enjoyed flower gardens and traveling with Elderhostel to Hawaii and Europe.
Anne was preceded in death by a brother, William Pace; and sister, Helen Osteen.
She is survived by son, Alan B. Oertel, of Rock Hill; daughter, Janet, and Kenneth Grassmann, of Kalispell; sister, Lee Robertson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Timothy and Thomas Oertel, of Rock Hill.
