Anthony Paul Johnson

Anthony Paul “Tony” Johnson, 66, of Kalispell died peacefully August 4, 2023, after suffering a prolonged seizure.

As a young man, Tony served in the US Army immediately after graduating from high school.  He lived in many places, but always returned to Montana and lived near his brother.  He married Loretta Johnson in Kalispell and they later divorced. Lori described their time together as fun and interesting.

Tony was kind, unassuming, and easy to be around. While he didn’t have children of his own, he often enjoyed bowling, catching pike, and attending the rodeo with his nieces.  He was quick to laugh and willing to share everything he had.

Despite becoming disabled later in life, Tony was never one to complain and accepted things as they were.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Gates, and brother Larry Johnson.  He is survived by his sister, Laura Peters, numerous nieces and nephews, longtime friend and caregiver Amy Siefke, and beloved dog Kia.

A memorial service will be held next summer at which time we will reminisce about his easy going nature and broad smile.
