Benjamin “Ben” Lee Buck passed away peacefully on October 29th 2025 from a long hard-fought battle with Leukemia.
Ben was born in Kalispell, MT to two great parents, David and Marilyn Buck, on October 24th, 1961. There he joined his older sister Revecca and three older brothers: Paul, Scott, and Alan. Later on, Ben was blessed with two younger brothers, Mark and Fred, making the family complete.
Those who knew Ben knew where to find him. At a lake or creek fishing, down in Southfork camping, west of town hunting, or building something beautiful.
In 1991, Ben was once again blessed with his one and only daughter, Tavia Marie. Ben lived for his daughter and to say he loved her with all his heart is an understatement. Ben was the most loving, patient, and kind father a girl could ever ask for.
In 2001, blessed again, Ben married the love of his life, Shaney Shackleford. The two of them spent the next 16 years together making many happy memories. Shaney kept Ben grounded, busy, and fed! Ben lost Shaney sadly in 2017. Even though he was heartbroken, Ben was determined to keep his head up and live life the best he could.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, David Buck; mother, Marilyn Buck; brother, Scott Buck; brother, Fred Buck; and loving wife, Shaney Buck. Along with many friends and family members.
Ben is survived by his daughter, Tavia Buck; Grandson Ezra Eckerson; brother, Paul (Tyui) Buck; sister, Rebecca (Kelly) Wilke; brother, Alan Buck; and brother, Mark Buck. Ben was blessed in many aspects of his life. Another blessing he had was to know and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Ben believed in the Lord and loved him very deeply with all his heart, which was a reflection on how he lived his life. To know Ben was to be loved. The only way to describe him is an “Earth Angel”. Ben had a very contagious laugh and a smile that was one of a kind.
