Brent Robert Jorgenson passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, unexpectedly at the age of 60. The world has lost a great son, brother, father and friend.
Brent was born in Webster, South Dakota, on May 22, 1961. He was the fourth child of Marvin and Ruth Jorgenson. Brent was raised in Waubay, South Dakota and graduated from Waubay High School before attending South Dakota State University where he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree.
Brent was married to Ara Jorgenson from 1997 until 2014, with whom he remained close friends. Together they have four children. Kieran, Alaina, Nolan and Avalea. He was very proud of his children and his granddaughter Milah. He loved them deeply.
Brent is survived by his children, Kieran McLarty, Alaina Jorgenson, Nolan Jorgenson and Avalea Jorgenson; granddaughter, Milah Kutch; former spouse, Ara Jorgenson; mother, Ruth Jorgenson; brother, David (Lou) Jorgenson; sister, Cindi Vincent; and sister, Sheryl Steinocker; along with nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends.
Brent worked many years for RJ Reynolds Company. He then worked for his father-in-law, Ray Zinke, at Precision Plumbing earning his journeyman’s license. After the passing of Ray, Brent continued the plumbing business until beginning his own irrigation business, Cascade-Rain Sprinklers. Cascade-Rain continued for 15 years, during which Brent had made countless friendships with his clients.
An urn burial will be held at 10 a.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens with a celebration of life to follow at Easthaven Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on June 18.
