Keith Lawrence Grice, age 86, passed away Friday March 2, 2012 in Whitefish. Keith was born April 19, 1925 in Pasadena, CA., the son of Larry and Audrey (Vail) Grice. At a young age, the family moved to Rollins, MT where Keith grew up. Keith married Viola Smith in 1951. They were married for 36 years. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served in the Pacific Fleet on the U.S.S. Smalley. He was honorably discharged in 1946 when he moved to Somers and owned and operated Grice's Communications for many years before retiring. Keith was a charter member of the Somers Fire Department and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Kalispell. He was also involved in the Fascinators and Flatheaders Square Dance Clubs. Keith was preceded in death by his wife Viola in 1988; his parents Larry and Audrey; sister Larraine Learn and 2 grand children. He is survived by his children Kay Grice of Somers; Turea(Midge) Grice of Homer, AK; Norma Commers of Eureka, MT and Terry Walden of Kalispell, MT; 1 brother in law; 2 nieces; 5 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren special friend and dance partner Evelyn Laber.
