Vaudene M. Kelly, aged 78, passed away peacefully on her 78th birthday, July 1, 2025, in Whitefish, Montana.
Born in Long Beach, California, on July 1, 1947, Vaudene’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her community emerged early. At just 21, she embarked on her first venture—investing in rental properties—and continued to manage real estate throughout her life. A true trailblazer, she founded three successful businesses and contributed to launching two others, dedicating her talents to nurturing economic and community growth.
A pillar of her community, Vaudene served on numerous committees, determined to ensure her region’s success. She championed education, innovation, and local engagement—and passionately inspired others through her unique, independent spirit.
Above all, Vaudene was devoted to her family. A dedicated “momma bear,” she loved her children and grandchildren deeply, celebrating their achievements and fiercely protecting them. She especially cherished family game nights, where her competitive nature and joy in winning made each gathering unforgettable.
Survived by:
• Daughter Gail (Brad) Pecoraro and grandchildren Ashley and Amy Pecoraro
• Daughter Amy Kemper and grandchildren TJ, Austin, Katie, and Courtney Kemper
• Son Patrick (Lisa) Kelly and grandchildren Evan and Shannon Kelly
