Marilyn Cartwright

January 1, 1936 — August 23, 2023

Kalispell, Montana

Marilyn Mae Cartwright (Claridge) passed away at her home on August 23rd, 2023. She was born in Kalispell on January 1st, 1936, to parents Lance and Lula Claridge. She grew up in the West Valley area where she attended Bald Rock School and later Flathead High School where she met Bob Cartwright. They were married on February 23rd, 1952. Yes, if you do the math, she was 16. They had just celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Bob and Marilyn lived in the same house in town for 60 years. They both loved it when the grandkids would stop by for a snack or to say hello. She always looked forward to spring when she could plant her flower beds. Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed bowling with her friends, playing bingo, and keno, and traveling with Bob. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, her brother Loren Claridge, her sister Betty Miller, and her grandson Weston Cartwright. She is survived by her sisters Evie Heuscher and Verdie Guerro. Daughters Julene, Kristi, and son Bob (wife Karla) all of Kalispell. Grandchildren LeeAnn, Tanner, Nicole, Libby, and Dustin. Great grandchildren Grayson and Bentley.

The family would like to say a big thank you to Enhabit Hospice for their tender care of Marilyn. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. and a funeral service at the Adventure Church at 10:30 a.m.
