Marilyn Parker

Marilyn Jean Parker, age 83 of Kalispell, passed away on May 29, 2023, at Logan Health Medical Center. Marilyn was born on January 3, 1940, in Shelby, Montana to Orin and Beatrice Gage.

Marilyn attended the Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington and earned a legal secretary degree.

Marilyn began working at Nelson, Kalbfleisch Law Office in Shelby, Montana as a secretary. In 1970 she and her family moved to Cutbank, Montana where she began working as a legal secretary at Werner-Nelson Epstein Law Office for 30 years. She then retired at age 63 and moved to Kalispell, Montana.

She enjoyed playing the organ for the Catholic Church and taught religious education. She also played bridge and was a lifetime avid golfer. She liked playing the piano, sewing, and spending time with all her family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by parents Orin and Beatrice Cage, brother Alan Gage, sister-in-law Beverly Gage, sisters Audrey Jacobsen and Delores (Bean) McDonald, sister-in-law Marlene Gage, and brother in laws Gene Jacobsen, Chuck McDonald, and Dick Parker.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary Parker, son Jedd (Shawn) Parker, daughters Jill (Kenny) Huschka, Julie (Steve) Inabnit, brother Del Gage of Billings, Montana, grandchildren Zach Parker, Taylor Parker, Will Parker, Justine Alberts, Dylan Huschka, Rhett Orcutt, and Hayley VandenBos, great grandchildren Audrey and Brielle Parker, Lauren and Brien Alberts, and Reese Parker.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, with a reception to follow at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Norby Junior Golf  Association at Whitefish Lake Golf Shop,  at P.O. Box 1888 Whitefish, Montana 59937.  Cremation has taken place and a burial will be scheduled at a later date. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory caring for the family.
