Muriel Irene Morse, 95, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on April 5, 2015, Easter Sunday.
Born in Cardiff, Wales, she served in the Women’s Land Army and was severely wounded in a bombing attack near Cardiff. Surviving that, she met her husband Herbert Morse on a blacked out war train. (She sat on him in the dark) After getting married they sailed to the U.S.A. and landed in New Orleans on Mardi Gras Day, and were shocked by the way Americans acted and dressed!
They moved to San Francisco and eventually ended up in Montana for the last 50 years.
Muriel is survived by her sons, Barton and Bruce; and grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Caitlin and Gavin.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Please come to a light supper from 4 to 6 p.m. at 121 Sleepy Hollow Road afterwards to visit and look at pictures.
