Myrna's artistic journey began at Brookhaven College, where she studied canvas painting. Shortly after moving to Montana, her passion for art led her to discover the beauty of porcelain art in 1986. Her talent and dedication shone through as she started producing exquisite painted china, which she sold to local gift shops. Recognizing her exceptional work, she also participated in arts and crafts shows, where she delighted in sharing her creations with the public. Throughout the Flathead Valley, Myrna became renowned for her artistic talent and the beautiful pieces she lovingly crafted.
However, Myrna's artistic pursuits were only part of her story. On November 14, 1964, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she married the love of her life, Lyman Charles Warkins. Their marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment, and they created a life together that was filled with joy and happiness. Myrna and Lyman were blessed with two sons, David Charles Warkins and Grant Keith Robertson Warkins, who brought immeasurable love and meaning into their lives.
Family meant everything to Myrna, and she dedicated herself to the well-being and happiness of her husband and sons. Her nurturing nature and unwavering support were the foundation upon which her family thrived. Myrna's love knew no bounds, and she selflessly gave of herself to ensure the happiness of those she held dear. Myrna Ethel Warkins is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lyman Charles Warkins; her sons, David Charles Warkins and Grant Keith Robertson Warkins; Daughter in law Toshimi Warkins and Granddaughter Mia Warkins. Her memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends.
There will be a Visitation at 9:00 am. To service time on February 1, 2024, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather to remember and honor this remarkable woman whose presence will forever be missed. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. and burial at C.E. Conrad Cemetery.
