Sandi A Cowden was born on July the 20th 1964 in Bangor, Maine to Steve Cowden and Joan Bonnier. Later in life, she discovered that Steve Cowden was not her biological father but was not able to connect with her biological father due to his death.

Sandi passed away peacefully on April 18th surrounded by family members.

Sandi’s father was in the Air Force and moved around for the first several years of her life. She eventually moved to be with her mother in Canada around the age of 8. She spent the next 30 years in Canada. She was a graduate from Sparwood High School Class of 1982 in Sparwood, BC. She went to college in Kamloops, BC. She then moved to Calgary, Alberta, and spent several years working there before moving to Penticton, BC. Sandi lived in Penticton until 2001 when she moved back to the USA. She came to Kalispell and decided to stay around with family and friends. Sandi worked several jobs in Kalispell including 911 dispatch. She found her last job at Teletec which she did up until last year. She loved this job and the people she worked with.

Sandi loved family. Although she never had children, she doted on her nieces and nephews and then on her great nieces and nephews here in Kalispell as well as extended family as much as she could.

Sandi was a true patriot and loved the USA. She was known for her love of everything red white and blue and her two dogs ‘Liberty’ and ‘Freedom’ who she mourned and had with her when she finally found her “smokin hot body” She will be remembered by her family and friends as the caring and giving person she was.

Sandi was preceded in death by her Grandparents AG and Mary Burton, and Grandparents Louis and Bernese Bonnier, Stepfather Ed Bonnier, Stepmother Stephanie Cowden and Nephew Ryan Mooey.
