Theresa (Terri) Darsow (Mullis) beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on Sept 9, 2024, due to complications from surgery. She was 76 years young.
Terri was born in Kalispell on March 4, 1948, to Lloyd and Mayme Mullis. She started her childhood on the family farm south of Polson. After the birth of her sister Wanda, the family moved to Kalispell, where her brother Paul was born. The family shared many get- togethers with aunts, uncles and cousins throughout her younger years. She graduated from Flathead High in 1966. She entered the working force right after graduation. Her skills included secretarial bookkeeping and banking. Her favorite job though, was being a mom.
She had a son, Mike. In 1973, Terri married Dale Darsow, and welcomed his daughter, Misty. Together they had a son, Mark. The family lived in Columbia Falls where she worked for the CFAC credit union. Later, they moved to Whitefish, where she managed an apartment complex. After the children left the nest, she and Dale moved to Evergreen. She took her skills into the banking world again and retired from Valley Bank of Kalispell.
A summary of what Terri did in her life only compliments who she was: she was compassionate, caring, and persistent, as well as one of the funniest people you would ever meet with an amazing sense of humor. She was exceptionally strong, determined, and stubborn. She loved with her whole heart and was always willing to help. She was attentive to details, remembering birthdays and anniversaries. She loved her family more than anything and would endure anything for them. When Terri got to become a grandma and great grandma, she shined even brighter. She loved talking about all of them and spending time with them.
Family was at the forefront of Terri’s life. She cherished her family and friends. She took an interest in the family history and was a fount of information about previous generations. Terri loved family gatherings. She organized the family reunions each year in Polson.
In addition to her family, a major highlight in her life was when she started attending Faith Lutheran Church in Kalispell in 2017. This is when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. In God, she found peace in her life and strength for each week. She loved her church family and could be found in church every Sunday.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dale Darsow, her 2 sons Mike Zorn (Amber), Mark Darsow (Michelle), and 1 daughter Misty Darsow, her grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, and Bridger Zorn, and Abbie Darsow, 1 great granddaughter, Ava, her sister
Wanda Ring, and brother Paul (Janet) Mullis, as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents, numerous aunts and uncles and friends. There will be a celebration of her life at Faith Lutheran Church, 405 Liberty Street Kalispell MT., on September 27, at 2pm. Terri’s favorite color was purple, she also liked pink. At the family's request they ask that you wear something purple or pink if you can.
