Treeva Shepard

December 1, 1926 — November 17, 2010

In loving memory of our mother, Treeva Shepard, born in 1926 in Arkansas. We would like to inform you that she passed away peacefully of congestive heart failure on November 17, 2010, in the Whitefish Hospital in Montana. She was able to spend the last 2 years of her life first in bustling Seattle near her daughter, Susan, where she met her two latest newborn great-grandchildren. She then moved in Eureka, Montana, in the care of her daughter Candi where she continued to play cards.

Mom was an avid golfer and had a wonderful social life on the weekends out at the West Richland Golf Course. She also loved bridge and played with several groups, where she made terrific life-long friends. She worked in the Richland community first at the now famous Spudnut shop and later for several doctors and chiropractors.

She is survived by her four daughters: Toni Davis (husband Butch) of Lexington, Kentucky; Susan Shepard of Seattle, Washington; Candi Snyder (husband Larry) of Eureka, Montana; and Tracy Charles (husband Gale) of Richland, Washington; eight grandchildren, Kelli, Kim, Karla, Rachel, Sonya, Shane, Sunee, and Joel; and nine great-grandchildren Craig, Nick, Lacey, Megan, Mitchell, Peter, Tori, Brandon, and Tanner; and her cat 'Little Kitty'.

Here are some fond memories we have of our mother in the A house on Farrell Lane: Clean sheets off the clothesline after a night at the drive-in movies with homemade popcorn; climbs up Flat Top 'mountain,' where she stayed at the bottom; feeding the entire neighborhood feral cats; fun summer vacations out of town; and as her grandkids will attest, the ability to choose and give fabulous gifts! What we probably remember the most about our mother was her unbelievable sense of humor and quick wit. We would love to hear your memories and thoughts of Treeva Shepard, so if you would, please send them to Susan Shepard at 6807 55th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115.
