Charles Cabaniss Jr.

August 26, 1977 — November 13, 2020

Charles “Chuck” Aubrey Cabaniss Jr., 43, went to sleep in death on Friday Nov 13th, 2020 at his home in Bigfork, Montana. Chuck was born in Union County, SC, August 26th, 1977. He was the son of the late Charles “Jimmy” Cabaniss  & Beatrice Gregory Cabaniss.

Chuck leaves behind many loved ones including his wife Gina Leigh (Deal) Cabaniss, stepdaughter, Baylie Barr and granddaughter, Daisy Leigh Barr of British Columbia, Canada. Since Chuck’s mother died when he was an infant, his older sister, Dale Cabaniss of Union, SC was an important mother figure in his life. He also leaves behind his older siblings, Bobby Melton of SC, Elaine Bishop of NC, Debbie Campbell, Gale Douglas, Phoebe Ann Cabaniss, Cheryl Beard all of SC, and a very special “grandmother” Helen “Cab” Bailey, as well as several special nieces and nephews.

He was a very kind, gentle, and loving husband and friend. He spent 7 years in Hawaii as a diver and then later traveled the country as a valve technician. Chuck loved being in nature and spent his free time hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring our beautiful earth with his beloved wife, Gina. He also enjoyed cooking and wood working.

Chuck was a student of the Bible and knew that death is an enemy and was never part of our Creator’s original plan. He will sleep peacefully while his wife and loved ones eagerly await his resurrection so they can put their arms around him again. (John 5: 28, 29)

Chuck’s memorial will be held on Zoom on Saturday  November 28, 2020 at 1pm Mountain Time (3pm Eastern time). If you would like to attend his memorial, please
