Debra Gay Wolfshorndl, 68, went to be with her Lord on August 30, 2021, at Logan Health in Kalispell after a brave battle with COVID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur R. Carnes III of Honobia, Oklahoma.

A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. September 3 at the Family Life Christian Church in Kalispell. Luncheon to follow.

She was born in Rockford, Illinois, on October 25, 1952.  She attended high school in both Wichita and Parsons, Kansas, graduating from Parsons in 1970.  She also attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri.

Debra spent a lifetime working in the medical field, in such roles as office manager, certified medical assistant, and medical coder. In 1992, she was the driving force in a study group for certified medical assistants, which eventually led to the formation of a program offered at Flathead Valley Community College. She created and taught CMA and medical coding courses at FVCC for 15 years.

She married Roger in July of 1977 at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. Her family will remember her love, humor, and strong faith!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Flathead Valley Community College Foundation in support of students pursuing the Medical Coding Program.
