Larry Gene Phillippe, 84, passed away on Nov. 11, 2020, at Lake View Care Center in Bigfork.
Larry was born in 1936 to Lawrence and Beth Phillippe, in Lawrenceville, Illinois. In 1957 he married his wife, Jill. They had five children and seven grandchildren. In 1993, Jill passed away. In 1994 Larry met Hermelinda and they were married that same year. Larry became a wonderful stepfather to Hermelinda’s daughters, Joanne Righter and Nancy Smith and a stepgrandfather to five stepgrandchildren.
In his younger years, Larry enlisted as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a master sergeant in 1977. He worked at various careers afterwards with them being HVAC, Real Estate and the U.S. Forest Service.
Larry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Hermelinda; brothers, Jack, Van and Don; sister, Gina Phillippe; son, Kip Phillippe; daughters, Kim Beck, Kitty Harris, Kelly Phillippe and Kassy Sparrow; stepdaughters, Nancy Smith and Joanne Righter; and 11 grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Beth Phillippe; first wife, Jill Phillippe; brother, Tom; sister, Patty Phillippe; and stepgrandson, Matthew Righter.
Larry was a fun loving and humble man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, helping others and, most of all, he enjoyed dancing with his wife, Hermelinda. He was very loved and will be very missed.
Military honors and cremation have taken place.
