Obituary

Leo Cornelius Coleman, 89, of Kalispell passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023.

Leo was born in Everett, Massachusetts on April 6, 1933 to Leo and Grace Coleman, and was raised in Revere, Massachusetts. Leo graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Revere, MA in 1951.

Leo served in Korea with the US Air Force from 1953 to 1957 in communications and continued his service at Edwards Air Force base in California until 1961.

Leo loved his family and had many passions. He was a deeply passionate patriot and loved his country. He adored animals… especially dogs, so much so that he started a dog walking service in his retirement years to help others who were unable to do so. Leo also loved deep sea fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren. Leo had many stories about his experiences which people loved to hear.

Leo is survived by his daughter, Teresa Thorp (George) of Kalispell, MT; son, Paul Coleman (Cindy) of Bakersfield, CA; son, John Davis (Carrie) of Battle Ground, WA; as well as 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the humane society or the ASPCA.
