Robert Lincoln Emslie age 89, passed away on May 16, 2020 at his home in Bigfork. Robert was born on February 12, 1931 at the Emslie family farm in Pewaukee, WI.  He graduated from Waukesha High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force National Guard which was activated.  He served in the 126th Fighter Intercepter Squadron, U.S.A.F. during the Korean War.  He returned to marry Shirley Ann McQueen, the love of his life.  He attended Milwaukee School of Engineering.  He worked in the heating and air conditioning field for 40 years.  After retiring in 1990 they moved to Bigfork, MT to be near their grandchildren.  Robert enjoyed golfing, curling and woodworking.  He was an avid reader, especially anything pertaining to the Civil War.  Robert loved following sporting events involving his eight grandchildren.   He loved God, church, family, friends and the Green Bay Packers - not necessarily in that order.

He is preceded in death by his father William Peter Emslie, his mother Harriet (Fischer), his brother William Emslie II, and his beloved grandson Matthew Scott Emslie.  Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years Shirley, his sister Harriet (Emslie) Dauffenbach, his sons Scott and Anna (Wysocki) Emslie, Todd and Shelley (Peterson) Emslie, daughters Lisa (Emslie) Wrbelis, Heather (Emslie) and Jim Ackerman, Grandchildren Amanda (Emslie) and Lee Sells, Adam Emslie, Cole Wrbelis, Logan Wrbelis and fiance Jessie Brown, Emily Lorbecki, Braden Lorbecki, Alexander Emslie and Hattie Emslie.  Great grandchildren Leif Sells and Elliot Sells.  We will miss you Grandpa.

Funeral service Friday May 22 at 1 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork.  Burial following at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.  Family suggests donations in lieu of flowers to charity of your choice.
