Roger Charles Sting, 71, passed away on Sunday, November 03, 2019, at Brendan House in Kalispell, Montana.Roger was born on Dec. 9, 1947, in Pigeon, Michigan, to Gerhard and Delores (Gall) Sting. Roger graduated from Sebewaing High School in Sebewaing, Michigan, in 1966. On July 9,1977, Roger married Lynda Merkle in Outpost Junction, California.

Roger entered the U.S. Air Force in 1967 serving in Florida, Okinawa, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Germany and California. He served our country for 20 years before retiring in 1987. After retiring from the military, Roger worked for the Sears Roebuck company in California, Walmart in Kalispell, and the Immanuel Lutheran Home for 15 years, retiring in January of 2011.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sister Valerie (Sting) Andrews.

He is survived by his wife Lynda Sting.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Church at Creston-Lutheran, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place before the service with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorials, are suggested to the Church at Creston-Lutheran or Lutheran Hour Ministries.Friends are encouraged to visit the website www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolence for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
